Woodsyre, Sydenham.
Our client’s renovation of this South London gem-of-a-home speaks to both his deep love of the local area and 1960s architecture.
With a clear vision of the layout and aesthetic he was looking to achieve, our client opted for materials that were respectful of the period in which the home was built. Cherry veneer, conglomerate marble surfaces and cork flooring are all a nod to the allure of mid-Century Los Angeles homes. A touch of 21st-Century functionality has been added with the downdraft extracting BORA hob, a Quooker boiling water tap and fully-bespoke HØLTE internal cabinetry throughout.
The layout ensures panoramic views of the familiar local area and woodland are front-and-centre while using the space and considered planning of the functional layout of the kitchen has allowed a collection of KLM Delft Blue miniature houses to take pride of place on the only wall fixings.
