Experience matters
All the kitchens seen in our marketing materials have been fitted by specialists.
The install determines how your kitchen looks, feels and lasts. We cannot emphasise enough the importance of appointing an experienced kitchen fitter.
If using IKEA cabinetry, hire an installer experienced with their system. Flat-pack durability relies heavily on solid assembly.
The fitting window
Specialist third-party installers often require a fixed window within which to complete a kitchen installation.
If opting to bring in an installer outside of your on-site team, ensure you speak to them about allowing for return snagging visits.
As with all building work, things crop up during installations, and it’s best to have allowed for this beforehand to avoid unexpected charges.
Home advantage
Using your existing on-site build team to install the kitchen often offers greater flexibility should things get delayed on site, and scheduling adjustments for snagging are often easier to manage through your main contractor.
If opting for this route, we recommend ensuring they are well-versed in installing your chosen cabinetry supplier’s product.
Brief your team
No matter who you choose to install your new kitchen, share your signed-off drawings with your fitting team right away.
Letting them study the layout beforehand means questions get asked (and answered!) well before delivery day.
