The ONE Process
1.
Design your dream layout with the experienced IKEA or Howdens team.
2.
Send your complete plans to HØLTE, along with your preferred colours, timbers and handles.
3.
We’ll put a quote together and, if you’re happy, we take a small deposit to start working on your panel drawing.
4.
Once all confirmed, we take a 50% deposit to put your project into production. Typically your kitchen will be with you in 5-6 weeks from this point.
5.
It’s time for delivery. Our how-to guides are here to help your fitter, but everything is almost identical to fitting fronts from your cabinetry supplier.

Sustainability
We’re constantly reviewing our product range and assessing where we can reduce our impact on the environment. ONE Timber vastly reduces wastage by removing the wasteful grain-matching process.
We’re working tirelessly to reduce waste at every level, while maintaining longevity and quality in all our designs.

Frequently asked questions
Supply Only
The first main difference between the two ranges is HØLTE’s level of input when it comes to planning and coordination. ONE is entirely supply-only, and your layout will need to be designed in detail elsewhere. We will then fabricate your choice of fronts from the ONE range, ready for your fitters to install just as they would with fronts from your chosen cabinetry supplier.
Worktops
When it comes to worktops, these will need to be sourced and coordinated by you, but we can advise on suitable materials and our preferred combinations.
There are a couple of other differences to consider in the materials used too that help us achieve the saving the ONE range offers:
ONE Colour
ONE Colour uses a standard MDF core as opposed to the moisture-resistant MDF used in our System ‘-E’ range.
Integrated handles are therefore not possible with the ONE Colour range, as the core does not lend itself to these details.
The colour range is also limited to 5 colours only, whereas the colour range in HØLTE System has over 10x more colours available.
ONE Timber
ONE Timber uses pre-veneered MDF boards, cut to size to suit your project.
This means we are unable to offer the signature HØLTE System grain-matching across your ONE kitchen cabinets, but this does vastly reduce the production wastage involved, helping both the cost and environmental impact of this range.
The rear face of ONE Timber fronts will also not match the face, as a veneer balancer is used on the boards. All the faces will be from the same log, but there will be more variation in tone between fronts than in our System range.
Again, integrated handles are not possible with ONE Timber due to the core materials used.
There are 5 choices of veneer, whereas we can technically work with any veneer in the HØLTE System range.
I’m afraid we cannot mix and match between the ONE range and HØLTE System. There are a number of efficiencies in both admin and production built into the ONE range that help achieve the price point we can offer. These are lost if we combine them with our System range.
If you are looking for a colour matched edge in our System range, we can supply both our LAM & MATT fronts with matching coloured edging.
The goal of the ONE range is to be able to offer the best possible price for design-led materials in your kitchen. In order to achieve this, the range is supply-only and limited to strictly IKEA & Howdens cabinet sizes.
As a result, if we were to be involved in the layout of your space, we would simply be reconfiguring your IKEA or Howdens cabinets and we don’t feel that paying us to do that is necessary. This budget could be better spent on other areas of your home.
If you would like HØLTE involved in the layout of your space, our System pathway has a number of bolt-on design services available.
You do not! We supply locally-made, small batch handles as part of the ONE range, but if you would like to source your own handles, no problem. We will simply provide our doors blank for your fitter to drill the handles in.
For ONE orders, we take all the measurements we need from your IKEA or Howdens plans. Pop them over to us when they’re ready, and we’ll be able to quote for all the panels needed to clad their designs.
All of our products are made to order, and our lead times for ONE orders can very between 5-7 weeks from the point of production drawing sign-off. This does not account for any public holidays or Christmas closures, your designer will confirm an expected delivery date at time of order.
Once your panels are in production, we cannot guarantee that any changes can be made. All our products are made-to-order. As a result, any changes made after the order has been finalised may result in additional charges. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more information.
All our products are made-to-order, therefore no returns, cancellations or refunds can be accepted once an order has been confirmed.
We accept payment by BACS transfer and all major credit card providers. We do not take payment over the phone, all invoices will have a link to either pay by credit card or details of our account for BACS purposes.
We have a minimum order of £3,000 + VAT for ONE orders. This excludes delivery, appliances, worktops and any hardware.
As all our products are made-to-order and due to inherent efficiencies of scale, unfortunately making piecemeal panels is not something we can currently offer outside of a kitchen project. Of course, if you have placed an order with us previously and need an additional panel, we will always help.
We take a 50% deposit at the point of order confirmation, this payment can be made by credit card. The remaining balance invoice will be due 1 week before your order is ready for delivery, this can also be paid by credit card.
Once we have received final confirmation and sign-off for your order, we will provide an estimated delivery date based on our current lead times. We currently deliver on Wednesdays and Fridays (public holidays permitting). We do not offer a fast-tracking service as we believe it is only fair to provide our service on a first come, first serve basis.
Should you wish to delay the delivery of your order to a later date, please do let us know and we will do what we can to update our production schedules. If you choose to delay your delivery following notification that your order has been completed, storage charges may be applicable. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Our orders are delivered same-day from our workshop in the Midlands. We will confirm your order is on track for the estimated delivery date at least one week before. The day before your agreed delivery date, we will provide an ETA window of a few hours. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm these ETAs any earlier due to delivery vehicle booking requirements, please let us know as soon as possible if you know there may be an issue receiving your delivery outside of certain hours.
Please make sure you or your nominated site contact is at the delivery address on the day of delivery. Please note that all our orders are kerbside deliveries, meaning the order will not be taken inside by the driver. Please ensure there is help at hand as products can be very large and heavy.
When your driver delivers your order, please check the delivery against the delivery note to check all items are present. Any missing items or damaged packaging must be noted on the delivery note in the presence of the driver.
There is no need to open any packages in the presence of the driver, we recommend packages are opened by your installation team.
Please ensure you take photos of any damage to packaging and/or panels. Without images, we cannot guarantee we will be able to progress any claims. Please note that by fitting our products the condition of the items is deemed accepted. For more information, please see our Terms & Conditions.
For IKEA and Howdens doors, yes. Your doors will arrive with hinge pockets that work seamlessly with the hinges from your cabinetry supplier unless otherwise indicated on your sign-off drawings. If we are supplying fronts for cabinetry purchased elsewhere, your doors will arrive ‘blank’ and your installer will need to drill these in during install.
If you have chosen handles from the HØLTE x Swarf range, your doors will arrive with the pilot holes for the handle placement. If you have chosen to purchase handles elsewhere, no problem, your fronts will arrive ‘blank’ and your installer will need to drill the holes as normal during install.
The thicknesses depend on the specification of your panels. All standard panels are between 18mm and 20mm thick. Please contact the team for more information. Our doors and drawer fronts are slightly thicker than standard IKEA or Howdens doors, so do bear this in mind when planning your worktop.
Our fronts do work with integrated appliances, yes! Doors for integrated appliances will come without hinge holes and handle pilots regardless of the cabinetry supplier for your kitchen. This allows you to utilise any system advised by your appliance manufacturer to install the door to your integrated appliance. If you have any questions, get in touch with our team.
Our fronts are fitted in the same way as you would fronts from IKEA or Howdens. Any fitter familiar with these systems will have no trouble installing your HØLTE fronts. For plinths, you will need to make sure you have the METOD legs as part of your kitchen order. These legs will come with clips that can be fixed onto your HØLTE plinth for installation. If you have any questions whatsoever during your install, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Please see our comprehensive care guide for information on how to look after your HØLTE kitchen fronts for years to come.
ONE fronts are supplied with a 3-year warranty. Any fronts installed on an appliance or in a bathroom are not covered. For more information please see our Terms & Conditions.
