Trumpington Road, London
Designed for a young family living in a terraced home in Forest Gate, London, our clients wanted a kitchen that gave a nod to the influential 80’s art movement of Ettore Sottsass and the Memphis Group. Bright colours, geometric shapes, asymmetry and playful aesthetics, all key concepts of the Memphis movement, lead the way on the look of this kitchen.
The cool blue – not often found in kitchens, but a key anchor colour of Memphis – was combined with a buttery cream shade on the lower fronts to create a warming, not clinical, space.
